 Bahamian Goat is a habanero type pepper very popular in the Bahamas but is much more difficult to obtain outside the Caribbean. It has a tropical flavor much appreciated for making chili sauces.

 The Bahamian Goat is between 250,000 and 350,000 on the Scoville scale . Some rare specimens can reach up to 600,000 units, making it a pepper with the strength similar to a Habanero Chocolate . 
 What does the Bahamian Goat look like? 
 Typically, the Bahamian Goat is 4 to 6 hundredths in width and 4 to 5.5 centimeters in length. The most common phenotypes are slightly crushed in shape like Scotch Bonnet and become this bright peach color when ripe. On some fruits it is even possible to see small tails but they can also be quite bulbous. Because of their color and roundness, some people see it as a miniature pumpkin shape. Bahamian Goat plants are extremely prolific and will undoubtedly surprise amateur growers with their great generosity. 
 
 Where does its name come from? 
 The smell of these peppers when opened strangely resembles that of a goat. Still others say that it is due to the fact that goat peppers generally grow in the Bahamas around the areas where goats feed.
